Once you have chosen that permanent make up is the right decision for you and you have chosen ombre powder brows as your preferred technique. There are certain things your brow technician will check with you beforehand, you will be asked to fill out a medical form this will have a list of questions that need to be answered before you can have the procedure done.
There are some key factors that won’t allow you to go ahead with the treatment, so it is important you answer all questions truthfully to avoid any complications. Here’s a list of some factors that won’t allow you to go ahead.
If you are any medication that is blood thinning this can determine if you can have this service as in some cases, it may not be suitable for you.
If you are pregnant or breast feeding.
If you have any history of keloid scarring.
When having powder brows, it is important to ensure that the skin is in the best possible condition before beginning the application process. We can not perform this service on sun burnt skin.
Be sure to read and follow the directions for both the before and aftercare. They are there to ensure you get the best possible result, it is important to follow them as not doing so can affect your final look.
Make sure you have a plan for the goal that you want to reach. It is much more likely that you will be pleased with the end outcome if you conduct a little bit of research on the type of brows or photographs of brows that you like. However, you should still have realistic expectations.
When making style, shape, and colour decisions, we will always consider your bone structure, facial shape, and skin type. If, on the other hand, you are unsure about what you prefer or what will look best on you, you should know that a consultation is included in each session. Your brow technician will always take measurements of your face and stencil on what your brows will look like. If there is anything about the sketch that does not meet your expectations, simply let your technician know, and she will make the necessary adjustments.
In summary, it comes down to personal preference when deciding between microblading and powdered brows. If you are looking for a natural, softly defined look, powdered brows may be the way to go. However, if you are seeking a more dramatic, hair-stroke look, microblading may be the better choice. It is always important to have a consultation before having any of these procedures done to determine which method is right for you, as well as to ensure that you have a qualified and experienced artist who can deliver the results you desire.
Consuming any alcohol in the 24 hours before your session can cause the blood to become thinner, which increases the risk of bleeding during your session. The ability to retain colour can be impacted by bleeding.
If it is not medically required, you should wait between 72 and 48 hours before taking any aspirin, vitamin E, or NSAIDs before your session.
We can not tattoo sunburnt skin, please avoid any sunbeds or if you have holiday plans, make sure you schedule your brow appointment around this. It is best to wait until your skin has fully healed before going out in the sun or using any tanning products.
Avoid working out on the day of your treatment because the heat from your body will make your pores appear larger. Because sweat contains salt, it is important to refrain from heavy perspiration for the first ten days after the procedure as this may impact how the pigment sets into the skin. You can resume your normal workout routine after the ten-day period.
After completing all these preparatory steps, it is time to go for your powder brows appointment with confidence that you are going to get the absolute best result!
In most cases, your total time spent will be around 2 hours. This will include the time it takes to map and stencil out your eyebrows, and complete the service with time at the end for you to admire them and ask for any changes. During this time, your brow technician will use a small handheld tool with a needle to create a soft, shaded effect by gently tapping the pigment into the skin.
All these things should be considered before you go for a powder brows treatment. During the healing process, you shouldn’t be worried if you notice that your brows appear too light or that you’ve lost some pigment because everyone’s skin absorbs pigment differently. We always recommend playing it safe during the first session because we can always make the pigment darker on the 6-week touch-up appointment. It is much better to add to your powder brows at your touch up than feel they are too dark or bold.
Remember to take good care of your new brows during the healing process by following the aftercare instructions provided by your brow technician. This includes avoiding water, makeup, and any other products that may irritate the skin in the eyebrow area for a certain period of time.
With proper care and maintenance, your ombre powder brows can last for up to 2 years, giving you a flawless, natural-looking brow. Book your appointment today and take the first step towards the perfect eyebrows that will boost your confidence and enhance your natural beauty.
