If you are looking for a new approach to your eyebrow makeup, you may want to consider the increasingly popular technique of powder brows. Powder brows, sometimes called ombre powder brows, involve creating the appearance of powder naturally on the eyebrows by filling them with a combination of dots and shades using pigments. This can give the illusion of fuller, more symmetrical eyebrows and add an extra level of polish to your appearance.
Powder brows are one of the most popular versions of permanent brow makeup, and many people wonder what the healing process will be like and what kind of aftercare is required. Here is everything you need to know to prepare for your powder brows treatment and ensure the best possible outcome.
Powder brows are a type of permanent makeup that uses a unique technique to create the appearance of naturally occurring powder on the eyebrows. This technique involves applying pigment to the skin in a series of dots and shades, resulting in brows that appear fuller and more symmetrical. The final result is a set of powdered brows that can give the illusion of cosmetics being applied to your face, adding an extra layer of polish to your appearance.
Powder brows, like other types of permanent makeup, are not completely permanent because the pigment is not introduced quite as deeply into the skin. This means that the color will gradually fade and, in some cases, disappear completely over time. The lasting time of powder brows can vary from person to person and depend on skin type, lifestyle, and how well you take care of your eyebrows. Generally, powder brows last between one to three years after your initial appointment and 6 weeks touch-up.
Because they require breaking the epidermis, the skin takes time to recover after the procedure. In the days and weeks after your powder brows treatment, your skin will recover from the treatment, and the micro-wounds will seal up as the pigment settles and the final color appears.
The healing period for powder brows typically lasts from four to six weeks. However, this varies from person to person and might be determined by several other circumstances. It’s only natural that some people heal more quickly than others, and the healing process may take longer for older skin to heal from damage. Contact your brow technician if your powder brows are still not completely healed after 14 days, and if the micro-wounds take excessive time to close.
During the first ten days of your powder brow appointment, your health and the outcome of the process are extremely important, and you must carefully follow all the aftercare advice given to you by your technician. After getting powder brows, you should avoid putting makeup and creams on the area and follow the aftercare recommendations provided.
Once you have got to 6 weeks you may give yourself a little break, but you should continue to steer clear of any things your artist advised you not to do. We always advise using factor 50 sunblock on your eyebrows always in sun exposure. After four to six weeks, your powder brows will have taken on their complete form and color. Before this point, the pigment is still settling into the skin.
